Academic Support

At Lakeland Christian School，我们认识到学生有不同的学术需求，学习速度也不同. 学习障碍和/或注意力问题可能会让学生感到沮丧. Through the Special Programs (SP) Department, LCS旨在为轻度至中度残疾的学生提供支持，这些学生被纳入普通课堂严格的学术课程的主流. Applying for Special Programs (ESE)

Elementary 

小学学生的ESE支持分为四个层次, ranging from consultative services to daily academic support. Certified teachers work with students in first through fifth grade, 在数学和语言艺术领域提供指导.

Secondary

There are four levels of ESE support, ranging from simple 504 Plans to daily intense remediation, 针对六年级到十二年级有残疾记录的学生. 除了初中基础课程和高中数学、英语等核心课程外，学生们主要进入大学预备课程. SPECIAL PROGRAMS ADMISSIONS CRITERIA

Full Scale IQ:  85 or >

Documented ability to demonstrate academic functioning to include:

  • 低于学校认可评核的ELA水平不超过2年

AND/OR

  • Performance of no lower than 20th percentile on MAP Reading and Language
  • Performance of no lower than 20th percentile on MAP Math

AND/OR

  • Performance of no lower than Level 2 on FSA Reading
  • Performance of no lower than Level 2 on FSA Math

Students must:

Parents must:

  • 充分披露与学生残疾有关的所有信息，包括社交信息, emotional, and academic needs.
  • 在SP推荐入学前及时提供所有必需的文件.
  • Sign SP Services Contract.

Additional ESE Required Documentation upon application:

  • Most recent standardized test scores
